Jinro is a low-alcohol wine brewed from rice, usually with wheat, barley or sweet potatoes as raw materials. The alcohol content is usually around 20 degrees. The origin of Jinro Soju can be traced back to "Shochu" in China's Yuan Dynasty. Shochu is generally believed to have been introduced to the Korean Peninsula in the late Goryeo period of the 13th century. Shochu means shochu. The original meaning of "Shōchu" is that the wine is made by distilling grain three times, just like dew. Therefore, it is also called "dew wine".
